With just 868 residents, La Barben is a small place on the edge of the Salon-de-Provence area, crossed by the Touloubre river. Most visitors come for two things: the château and the wildlife park. Around them, scrubland gives way to vines of the Coteaux-d’aix-en-provence appellation. Look out too for the Church of Saint-Sauveur, listed as a historic monument in 1993, the remains of a Benedictine convent and an aqueduct bridge carrying the Canal de Marseille.
