A hillside village below the Castellas
La Fare-les-Oliviers climbs the slopes of the Mauribas massif on the right bank of the Arc, on either side of the old D 10 road. Above it rises the Castellas, a medieval fortress on a rocky pinnacle. The name is well earned: an oil mill presses local olives, and the Vignerons du Castellas cooperative makes wine from the surrounding vineyards. It is a lived-in village too, with a nursery, schools and a secondary school.
Fifteen kilometres, no detours
From the airport you cover 15 km in around 18 minutes, heading past Berre-l’Étang towards the Arc valley. Your driver meets you with a name board as you leave baggage reclaim and handles the cases.
