A town between three massifs

Septèmes-les-Vallons lives up to its name, ‘of the valleys’. It is hemmed in by the Étoile range to the east and the Nerthe to the west, with a third ridge, the Belvédère, inside the commune. The town hall on Place Didier-Tramoni stands at 215 metres, and the land climbs to 562 metres beneath the Grand Étoile. Bordering northern Marseille, it also has two business zones, Haute-Bédoule and Pré de l’Aube.

Via the A7 or the A51

The A7 and A51 motorways split just west of town, and Septèmes is reached from exit 32 on the A7 or exit 1 (Plan-de-Campagne) on the A51. From the airport the trip is 28 km, around 41 minutes. Once booked, the fare no longer changes with traffic: about €45 in Eco, €53 in a Sedan, €74 in an 8-seater van, tolls included. Your driver waits in arrivals with a name board.

Business visit or heading home

The Haute-Bédoule and Pré de l’Aube zones house a wide range of firms, from car repair to medical supplies, so give the precise address to be dropped at the right entrance. Coming home after a late flight? The price stays the same. Les Pennes-Mirabeau and Simiane-Collongue are neighbours and can be booked the same way. Free cancellation runs up to 24 hours before pick-up.

Good to know about Septèmes-les-Vallons

Since 1958 the cement maker Lafarge has worked a quarry in the Fabrégoules valley, and occasional group visits reveal its unusually coloured, folded rock layers. Part of the former waste storage site is due to be handed back to the town for solar panels.
