A wine village between two ridges
Saint-Cannat lies on the old N7, 17 km from both Salon-de-Provence and Aix-en-Provence, between 190 and 230 metres above sea level. The Trévaresse ridge rises to the north, the Éguilles range and the Touloubre to the south. Farming is very much alive, with most of the wine classed as Coteaux d’Aix-en-Provence. Five estates sell under their own label, and the former cooperative cellar still runs a tasting shop.
Thirty-six minutes into Aix country
The drive is 31 km and takes around 36 minutes. Your driver tracks your flight in real time and waits in the arrivals hall holding a sign with your name. The fare is set at booking: €49 in Eco, €58 in a saloon and €77 in a van. Tolls and luggage are included, with no night or weekend surcharge. Your first hour of waiting is free.
Estate visits and the trip home
If your stay includes a wine estate, book the transfer straight to its address. Remember the return journey too, at the same price, and choose a saloon or van if you are bringing cases of wine home. Éguilles, Rognes and Lambesc are the neighbours. Cancellation is free up to 24 hours before departure. Your driver helps load your purchases, and the fare does not depend on how many bags you carry.
Good to know about Saint-Cannat
The church of Notre-Dame de la Vie was destroyed by the earthquake of 11 June 1909, rebuilt from 1923 and consecrated in 1927, while the chapel of Saint-Cannat, built after the 1629 plague, survived the quake. The Suffren museum honours the 18th-century vice-admiral Pierre André de Suffren, known as the Bailli de Suffren.
