Cadolive is home to around 2,200 people and sits at the eastern tip of the Étoile range, between Peypin and Saint-Savournin. Its 418 hectares rise to Mont Julien at 645 m, and much of the southern slope has no houses at all. That keeps the village tightly grouped along a strip about 5 km long, running from the Bau de l’Aigle towards La Valentine. The Church of Saint-Lazare stands at its heart.
